You used to tell me everything.
You don't tell me anymore.
I'm listening, trying to read it out,
in between the lines.
I'm fine, like I told you a thousand times,
I'm fine, I'll be okay.
Do what you're already doing good,
leave me be, and walk away.
You used to share your days with me.
You don't have time anymore.
I'm turning back all the hours,
trying to make it count.
I'm fine, like I told you a thousand times,
I'm fine, I'll be okay.
Do what you're already doing good,
leave me be, go make your day.
I'm not much to keep in your heart,
I'm not much for you to remember,
Don't waste your memory on little cold deserted me.
I'm fine, like I told you a thousand times at least
I'm fine, I'm soon okay.
Do what you're already doing good,
leave me in the cold, every day.
Be fine, like I told you a hundred times,
Be good, you'll be okay.
I told you we'd both recover good,
leave me be, go make your day.
Such a strong voice screaming from this poem that anybody who reads it has to listen, great work Becca!
ReplyDeleteThank youu =D
ReplyDeleteWhile writing it I was being deeply cynical but as I read it through again I realized I could actually sing it and really mean it, in a different way. Haha! Guess it's always good to be ambigous... ^^
