You're back to open up my scars
The ones that had just sealed since last
And you tear things through
All of it, with all that you do
Are you happy with your happy life?
The one you built for yourself
And you wouldn't let me close
You made sure I'd know
You made sure I couldn't miss it
You're back to make me stare again
Wonder of the meaning in your words
If you made all of it go away, magically
If you succeeded to make it all worthless
Are you satisfied with where you're at?
The universe you built yourself
And you made me a distant star in it
Pretended I was undiscovered
And made sure I couldn't miss it
You're back to leave me unnamed
Blurred and worn, in a broken frame
The ashes remaining after the flames
You succeeded to make it all worthless
I'll just glow in my corner
Until my star explodes on you
I'll make sure you know
I'll make sure you couldn't miss it
wow great poem, so sad...
ReplyDeletethe first line describes a lot of pain which i dont wanna think about...
"Are you happy with your happy life?
The one you built for yourself
And you wouldn't let me close
You made sure I'd know
You made sure I couldn't miss it"
very very sad... it gets the feeling through
"You're back to make me stare again"
that line is one of the best lines ive heard in my life!!! amazing
oh and the last stanza (the second line) cracked me up!
btw how is your book going on? published yet?
ReplyDeleteThank you SO much amin! =) :D
ReplyDeleteIt IS a lot of pain... I don't wanna think about it either!
The book was going well, but then I lost my job :/ I won't be able to go through with the publisher programme since I can't pay the opening fee :/ I'll just have to wait for my agent to find me another contractor ;)
damn... good luck though, one day youll be a millionaire with that book, i know it ;D
ReplyDeleteHaha aww amin :) I sure hope so, I'm not rich yet xD
ReplyDeletethat was new for me :D you´re gonna realize a book? damn :P well that´s self-evident :D you write so.. beautifully! this one was brilliant, once again.
ReplyDeleteWow rocco, thank you o_O
ReplyDeleteNovels are sooo different from poetry... poems come much easier ;D Yeah we'll see how it works out, I'm signed with an agency for my first novel but not the following ones... ;)
(I wanna read the novel once it's published)
ReplyDelete"You're back to make me stare again
Wonder of the meaning in your words
If you made all of it go away, magically
If you succeeded to make it all worthless"

ReplyDeleteAnd I've been novel writing since 2007, believe me, you haven't seen the end of this *pretending she's not totally stuck right now* ;)
Don't give up the dream! I dreamt a long time to do what I did before I finally did it and my conviction I would one day make it was what got me there. Hang in there! Oh and short stories is a good start ;)
I write only short stories cos I´m not patient enough for long stories :P but if you really want, you should write, write and write! one day you will write a masterpiece ;)
ReplyDeleteYes don't give up! Poets have all sorts of writing skills in their veins, they need only to be opened.
ReplyDeleteNot literally, I don't want any slashing of wrists here. ;) :D
